Still holding out hope that some seller will give that option, but yeah otherwise the "send unit from EBay" alternative will probably be the way I'll go about it.

So, do we know if anybody is going to sell consoles with the HDMI converter already installed? Living in EU, I'd much rather get a pre-modded NTSC console than send my old PAL unit. Feels kinda pointless to invest in great picture quality when a lot of the games would be playing slower than intended...
