Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

I recently encountered an issue that I'm not sure if anyone's already brought up. Some games that make use of the Expansion Pak have a "Hi-Res" option. Games like Turok 2, Perfect Dark and World Driver Championship. On each of these, when I engage "Hi-Res Mode" in the game, the de-blur disengages an...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Several users have reported problems with mini-HDMI adapters. It seems it's a lot better to use a dedicated mini to fullsize HDMI cable.
I'll give this a try!

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Any idea what I can do on my TV to change that? There shouldn't be any upscaling, as the UltraHDMI is set to 1080p output.

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

My N64 is having some HDMI connectivity issues. Every 5-15 minutes or so, it will disconnect for about 1 second and then reconnect. The gray "HDMI-2" box pops back up in the top right corner of the TV as if it's just detected a connection. I've tried different HDMI ports and different cables. Any id...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

1.04 causes problems on some units because I rewrote the RAM controller to cement the timing in. From that point onward it should be set in stone and cause no future problems. Current status: gearing up for official launch. Even though they have been selling for a while it's been a long road bootst...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

I've also been getting blue lines across the screen. They randomly start showing up after playing for a little while (could be 10 minutes, could be 60) and they go across the gameplay as well as the black bars on the sides. It doesn't seem to make a difference what settings I have on. They go away w...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

The hardware has been finalized since June. There may be a HW2 eventually as chip prices change but it's a pretty big endeavor and won't happen without good reason. I have a couple tricks left up my sleeve still with the firmware -been optimizing some stuff. Freeing up 200 bytes foe CPU code is hug...
