Re: UltraSave released

Marshall,

This is a fantastic solution! Finally I can easily move my game saves without a DexDrive and lots of tweaking. The price point is absolutely perfect too.

As always thank you for everything you do and provide to the community.

EDIT: Ordered!

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Button reset is definitely possible but it will require running an extra wire inside the console with a new firmware. I am definitely in favor of a button combination reset. Making minor changes (soldering a wire jumper) is no problem for those of us who already installed the UltraHDMI  . ...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Do you have any pictures of the phenomenon occuring? Which firmware version? Difficult to take a picture of it. If you play RC Pro Am II and just start the first race, turn scan lines off, and look at the green field. Even when the game is paused there is a ton of faint visual noise. In the picture...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Marshall, I notice that with my 64Drive + UltaHDMI when playing NES games (via Neon64) there is a lot of faint visual noise and some audio popping. Visual noise very obvious when on the race track for R/C Pro Am II (the grass has lots of noise), and audio popping is pretty obvious when playing Super...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Marshall, From the installer page: 2. Poor cartridge connection - data will be interrupted if it crashes Aside from seating the 64Drive and loading a normal game ROM is there any other way to ensure a solid connection? If I am able to load Mario 64 and run around the castle for a minute should that ...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

My install went nice and smooth! I have to say, Marshall's use of a ribbon cable here was perfect. Most of the time was spent lining up the cable and taping it down, the actual soldering took 30 seconds. Word to the wise, don't forget to plug back in a jumper pak or expansion pak when testing or you...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Marshall,

Is there an ideal US motherboard version for this mod? I figure if I am going to drop another $130 into one of my N64's, I should make sure it is absolutely ideal.

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Marshall,

Do we have a list of installers out yet? So far BadAssConsoles is the only installer mentioned.

Great work Marshall! I'll be ordering my personal batch soon! I'm sure the long wait will be well worth it.
