Re: 64 drive doesn't save

I have this exact issue on a Toshiba 4GB microSDHC, but formatting didn't help. SRAM and Flash aren't being saved properly, but EEPROM types are fine. Whenever I save in Ocarina of Time, it reverts to my original file as if it didn't even update it at all. Saving in Pokemon Snap wiped out my save fi...

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Question: How are PAL-only titles treated? Games like Taz Express, Rakuga Kids, Airboarder 64 and 40 Winks, etc.

Re: N64 HDMI converter thread

Is it possible to output the image unfiltered, (pixellated / nearest neighbour) and scanlines disabled? If not, how exactly is it stretching up to 1080p60? You'd think that billinear filtering would be more computationally intensive than the raw pixels. Can't wait for it to come out! I am out of an ...

Re: Question regarding pak saves

Bring back the old one o.0 As it's not broke really whatsoever I don't know if it's that I may have all the native saves I need/want .. Cheers It got deleted from JSBin, so I don't have it anymore. It was just a prototype anyway. All you gotta do is delete the first 32 bytes in a hex editor - is th...

Re: Question regarding pak saves

Though for extracting SRAM/EEPROM saves, you'll have to strip off the first 32 bytes of the exported notes , to work in emulators etc. There is indeed a 32 byte header when exporting notes (544 - 32 = 512). This is to allow note files to be importable into other MPK files. It was made to be a gener...

Re: N64 freezing randomly after upgrading firmware

I tried the Jumper Pak before and it encountered the same crashing. :| So would it be impossible for a CIC problem to encounter a hiccup, avoiding a crash? It was a rare occurrence, most of the time it will just freeze on a pixellated screen, or on a screen of garbage (which may flicker before final...

Re: N64 freezing randomly after upgrading firmware

Unfortunately I only have the one unit. I just don't understand why it happens so randomly, but not when I wiggle the cartridge - it still remains stable. I had the dextrose intro running, and was timing it - and to my amazement I came back 6 hours later and it was still running (which hasn't happen...

N64 freezing randomly after upgrading firmware

My N64 turned into a damn lemon after I upgraded the 64drive firmware. It randomly freezes/crashes, sometimes even 40 minutes after being powered on. I've ruled out the expansion pak, controller pak, jumper pak, and other cartridges, and even cleaned the contacts with Isopropyl alcohol and some comp...

Re: Question regarding pak saves

Do a search for " Command-Line Package (Neill Corlett) ". The dude's site went down, but you can still find it. It comes with a bunch of useful utilities, one of which is byteswap , and it does what you want. You'd run it like this: byteswap -s 4 filename.fla This would change the endianness from li...
