Clarity depends on the native resolution of the display you'll be using. For example I will be using it on a TV with a native resolution of 1080, which means there will be added blur due to the scaling of the 480 signal. This is the nature of pixel-based displays unfortunately. I think this could be overcome by buying a scaling device that upscales the signal to 1080 before it reaches the TV? I'm not an expert on this.

Installation can be done by yourself if you have really good soldering skills, or you can buy a console with the mod already installed from one of the installers that will be doing this after release.

marshallh so this is like the rgb mod but better that sounds great. ps. can you remove the scanlines?

wouldnt post-processing like scanlines add input delay?

On the second page of this thread Marshall stated:

Doubtful, since I am selling the HDMI mods through resellers/installers, not directly.
Based on that you will have to either buy a pre-modded console or send your console to a reseller/installer to be modded. Although I believe many of us are hoping to do the installs ourselves.

what about someone who don't know how to do it and wants but doesn't want their system destroyed?
