Hey MobiusStripTech!

I watched a few of the install videos and figured it was worth giving it a crack. I ended up purchasing three - one for myself and I've two mates who would like a unit, so fingers crossed!

Still - depending on how I find things I'll definitely keep that offer in mind!

No problem. Just remember flux is your friend and use a good drag soldering tip. Also don't linger in any one spot too long.

My N64 is having some HDMI connectivity issues. Every 5-15 minutes or so, it will disconnect for about 1 second and then reconnect. The gray "HDMI-2" box pops back up in the top right corner of the TV as if it's just detected a connection. I've tried different HDMI ports and different cables. Any idea what's going on? It's nothing too serious, but it can definitely screw up a really intense moment in a difficult or multiplayer game.

I have heard of that happening before. Are you running through a receiver? The only time I had heard of it was when a customer was passing through a receiver that was trying to upscale.

Nope, just N64 > microHDMI-to-HDMI Adapter > HDMI Cable > Vizio 65" HDTV

Does the tv support game mode and if so are you using that?

I haven't been able to find any sort of game mode, no.

It could be an issue with how the display is handling the image processing and any upscaling for your tv. Using my Samsung and my Sony I have not experienced these issues personally. My Sony does not upconverting and all image processing is off. My Samsung is generally used in Game Mode.

Any idea what I can do on my TV to change that? There shouldn't be any upscaling, as the UltraHDMI is set to 1080p output.

Aside from game mode I am not sure. You could look through the video processing options and turn them all off.
