Obviously a lot of stuff is missing here. Nintendo released a re-designed, smaller Super Nintendo sometime in the mid-90s. Perfect candidate to chop up. Anyway, here are the case forms after I pulled them off my vacuum-former. You can read the L64 story for pictures of that.

Normally the game cartridge sticks straight up out of the SNES. That wouldn't work. So, using 30-gauge wire-wrapping wire, I re-wired all 62 pins or whatever. I forget.

I cut out the case bits you saw above. Used a Shopsmith disc sander to get the case halves to match up perfect. Looks kinda boring without parts on it, right?

All the button holes cut out. A dremel was used for rough cuts. Everything else was filed by hand except for the button holes, I used a drill press for those.

Gotta make sure the stuff works before you start gluing stuff in! The screen is a PSone (playstation) LCD. Pretty nice. The CCFL backlight is replaced with 3 really bright LEDs.

Wired up the controller. Left the SNES plug on so I could test em all out.

All this is kinda boring to write about. If you are really that interested pester me for details.

Yup, this is the back half. Pretty awesome, right?

The two halves ready to go together.
